At the end of 2008 I started to paint in Switzerland again.

Hanging
Option 1

It fascinates me that my Mandalas have transformed a lot. Already in NZ the sacred geometric works changed into Earth Grids mid year 2008. This new style allows each painting to be hung in 8 different ways (earlier ones in 2 ways only). In all positions the work is perfectly harmonious but has a different expression, challenge and joy in each position.

In Switzerland, for me, an even more beautiful new dynamic unfolded: Trilogies!

Three paintings being painted in conjunction, so to speak. Being one but separated, which can be hung in lots of different ways. The movement, the dynamic of existence, the ever-changing patterns of life seem to me wishes to be expressed more in my recent works. Freeing from limitation, from set mental and energy pattern! They all come into being from the eternal stillness, motionlessness of space.

If the paintings are able to be hung in so many different positions and always “work”, always are harmonious, they challenge us mentally, emotionally, physically as well as spiritually to free ourselves. Supporting us to go beyond our limitations, to open us to the new, the unexpected. What an enhancement! Enrichment of our consciousness, beyond imagination if I trust and experience it myself.

This beautiful process makes me smile, dance, rejoice in the unfolding of the multitude of life. It is my soul-deep commitment in opening myself up to new ways of living.

Hanging Option 2

I finished the trilogy for my lovely mother on my last stay in Basel but the triangular trilogy (3 equal sided triangles each one can be hung in 6 different positions) waits until I return to Switzerland early 2010.

I did bring 4 of these 60cm base equal sided triangle canvases to NZ and I am working on them, listening to their message and their playfulness, funkiness and depth. I have been interested in what an "external" form triggers within me… with what innate wisdom it resonates, what new doors to awareness it opens.

I am curious myself where they lead me to, the triangles, the hexagons and the octagons. Already now I feel a (small!) quantum leap - within my consciousness, in the sense of more love, joy, wisdom, understanding, awareness and compassion.

For me, this is one of my contributions to a more balanced world, more loving energy, activating healing and impacting on the planet and the relationship amongst people. This is from my understanding of life as inextricably linked: the healing and expanding consciousness of each single being radiates balancing  vibration to the whole.

Now back home in NZ the free form paintings are flowing more easily than in Switzerland. This  is also due to the fact that I have more freedom here to work outside, following the voice of the canvas and whatever wishes to happen. However, it is also an expression of the feminine energy I experience in New Zealand complemented by the rather male energy I feel in Switzerland.

It is this lovely yin-yang balance I anticipate and appreciate so much. I find crucial and personally enriching that each of us opens up to re-uniting the male/female energy poles within ourselves. I am certain it is the core of our holistic health on an individual as well as universal level.
